Observations:

In January & February 2016 I walked the Old Buckley Road at 56th Ave.  Old Buckley Road has become a pedestrian and bicycle path open space that runs in parallel to the eastern boundary of the Rocky Mountain Arsenal National Wildlife Refuge. There were Eagles perching in trees just inside the fence to the west. In mid-February there was an altercation between two eagles in a stand of trees along the road. After that day I have not seen the bald eagles, only a few large birds, which appear to be golden eagles, and various hawks hunting or passing by, never really in range for a photo or clear sighting.

April Update:

No additional Eagle sightings since the end of February.  The City & County of Denver is making some improvements to this public area with some gravel on the path from the parking lot to the road and some signage.

Now known as The First Creek at DEN  Open Space.
